Welcome to Scratch Camp

Hey there, it's nice to meet you.

My name is Alec, and I am a Computer Science student living and working in Berlin. Originally American, my parents moved me here when I was only 6 weeks old. Speaking both fluent German and English, you can catch me ordering my coffee in either language depending on my mood. My journey into the fascinating world of technology began at the age of 12 when I first encountered Scratch, a visual programming language. This initial foray into coding opened the door to the endless possibilities of computer customization and software development, igniting a relentless passion for technology that has only grown stronger with time.

Today, I've channeled this passion into creating a workshop that serves as a vibrant space for kids eager to explore the realms of game and story creation through Scratch. It's more than just a place for coding; it's a community where young imaginations are encouraged to flourish, allowing children to craft their own games and tales in a fun, easy-to-learn environment. Scratch Camp is dedicated to fostering a space where curious minds can come together, share their ideas, and learn from one another in a warm, supportive atmosphere.

Sign ups are currently closed while we prepare for the next event in late march

Due to limited seating in the current spaces I can only offer 8 spots as of right now. I am working on securing a larger room for more people. However make sure to sign up as soon as possible to confirm your spot.
